Music with Work?
Music with Work?
By- The Wise Guy, With A Wise Eye
Many of my friends say that they can’t practice math sums without listening to music*.
Are they showing off, or they really are in this practice, is a different thing. But can listening to music help in studying?
I’ve also heard, that some people like multi-tasking or that multi-tasking helps them save their time. But let me clear this. There is nothing such as multi-tasking. Don’t believe me?
It is proved that human brain can focus only at one place at a time.
It is proved that human brain can focus only at one place at a time.
So you think this clears our first question ‘Can listening to music help in studying?’
It depends on when, if you are listening while working or reading then it won’t. Lyrics are often too distracting. For low immersion or physical tasks, music with lyrics can offer huge benefits. But for intensive wok, lyrics are specially destructive for focus. If you listen to music in your study break or before studying then it would help a lot.
Because listening to music or a song helps improve your mood, boosts your productivity, strengthens memory, and relaxes you.
Listening to the songs also improves your health, helps overcome depression, and reduces pain and stress.
All these facts are backed by scientific study and research.
So don’t try to stretch out your time by trying to multi-task (which you can’t), but do listen to music or song whether it be in any language because music is the best medicine
Wise fact- The fact that we use only 10% of our brain is a myth. In just making a cup of coffee we use all our brain. What good it would’ve been anyways, to have such a big brain and use only 10% of it ☺.
*Note that when I refer to listening to music, it can be a song, because a song is music with lyrics.
